A Trip to Mindoro Part 1

Where: Oriental Mindoro
Place of Stay: Blue Crystal Beach Resort
When: August 2006

For the first time, I had to gather all that braveness in me to travel by means of another type of transportation. Boat. Or big boat maybe that I later learn is what they usually call fast track that can occupy 20-30 persons. Before riding a bus that will take me to Batangas port, I had to ask a lot of people what's the best bus station that will take me there. However, with many persons I asked, I just got confused so i decided to do it my way. From Kamuning to Pasay, I finally found one in Lawton area. It could have been just one ride from Fairview to Quiapo or Taft, right? There I learned just rode a bus which has a signboard "Batangas pier" and you can go to Batangas port.

When the bus was on the move, just passed by City Hall, it started to rain and on the radio it says that signal number one is already up. I thought this shouldn't ruin my travel.

When I came to Batangas port, boat travels were already cancelled. Luckily, I met Joan, a local from Lipa city who needs to go to Mindoro to be with her mother for the weekend. Had some girl talks before we accepted that the travel is really cancelled. Though we are still hoping we can get there when a little boat ride was offered.

Indeed, it was a little boat. But I never anticipated a wave as tall as mine or double it up. And the winds are getting stronger as well as the rain.

The question is will i still be brave enough to face that current or just proceed on the next day? Early next day most probably. And I chose the latter.

And Joan, a typical person who will come and go in a typical's traveller journey, welcomed me for a night in her humble abode in Lipa with with two of her boardmates.

The serenity at Blue Crystal Beach resort is up next .... :)

Welcome Aboard!

Welcome to my travel adventures! It always amazes me that people's attentions are drawn to me whenever I tell them tales about my recent trips. My trips destinations are the usual places but what's make it different are the appreciations and encounters I had during that time.

And I also want to share it to you.
